Bulldog cross country assembles strong showing in Jayhawk Invite

On Saturday, the Bulldog men’s and women’s cross country teams took a road trip to compete in the Jayhawk Invite in Muskegon, MI. Adrian competed against nine other teams in what was the largest meet of their season. These teams included league rival Calvin and cross-town rival Siena Heights. 

The men’s team placed third out of the ten teams, while the women placed fifth. Pacing the Bulldogs in the men’s 8k race was Robert Diebold (25:41), who recorded a career best. Following close behind was sophomore Brett Carlisle (25:56), who also set a career best by one minute. The next finisher for Adrian was freshman Caleb Billings (27:37) who rounded out the top three for the bulldogs. Top women’s times in the 5k race came from freshman Emme Koutz (20:32), freshman Mallory Bowker (20:51), and junior Sydney Feekings (21:58). 

The Bulldogs will be back in action this Saturday, October 24 at Calvin University for their final meet of the season. The men will race at 11:00 and the women at 12:00.
