Without Wax: John Skelton Denied Parole

On December 3rd, 2019, a documentary film centered around the story on the disappearance of the Skelton brothers of Morenci, MI was debuted at the Croswell Opera House in Adrian. “Without Wax: A Story of True Evil” was directed by Adrian College professor Michael Neal, with the crew comprised of AC communication arts students: Logan Heffner, Kyle Stratton, Brandon Milligan, and Gage Dansby.

The film details the events leading up to, during, and after, the disappearance of Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner Skelton on November 26, 2010. Their father, John Skelton, was the last person to see them alive. Through investigations conducted by the Morenci Police Department and the Michigan State Police Department, the Skelton brothers are still to be found. Meanwhile, John Skelton, the boys’ father, refused to cooperate with the authorities. He was sentenced to 10-15 years in jail for unlawful imprisonment due to his failure to cooperate and bring the boys home.

Earlier this month, John Skelton was scheduled for a parole hearing to coordinate his early release later this year. However, Skelton was denied parole.

Tanya Zuvers, the mother of the boys, received a letter from the Michigan Department of Corrections on Tuesday, September 15 that John Skelton was denied parole, and will not be eligible until 2022.

In regards to the film, “Without Wax” is currently undergoing re-editing in order to ensure its quality for streaming services. The process is still being completed and will be submitted to streaming services shortly. Make sure to follow us on Facebook at @withoutwaxfilm for updates.
